Commissions never move a price range. Every range on a reference page comes from our own manual sampling of eBay sold listings, with the sample size and date printed next to it, and the methodology page shows how. A program paying us more or less doesn’t change a number.

They don’t change verdicts either. If a reference is a poor buy, say because parts for it are no longer made, we say so, even when that costs us a click.

And they don’t decide what we cover. We pick references by what collectors search for and what we can document, not by commission rates.

We don’t sell watches. We don’t take payment for coverage, and we don’t run sponsored posts. If we’re ever lent or given a watch, we’ll say so on that watch’s page. We don’t link to individual eBay listings, and we don’t copy listing photos.

There are no display ads on the site today, and no third-party ad scripts load on any page. We won’t add any until an ad network has approved the site. Even then, ads will only appear within long-form text: never at the top of a page, in the decoder, in the authenticity check, or inside a price table. We’ll update this page before the first ad goes live.
